About Norma

Norma - or Normie, as she’s lovingly known = has spent a lifetime caring for others, from her early nursing days at Sydney Children’s Hospital to the warm, generous hosting she’s cherished for today. Her home is a world of quiet magic: pockets of garden wonder that welcome birds, ducks, frogs, and even a cat who wandered in and never left.

Inside, you’ll find posies from her garden tucked into teapots and antique vases, nestled among family photos. The KitchenAid hums, a pot of Botanic Garden Portmeirion tea waits on the verandah, and freshly baked scones cool beside jars of homemade jam. She sits ready to greet you, wearing Miss Dior — as she has since she was 21 — clip‑on earrings, and bright pink lipstick. Nina Simone plays softly as she reminds you, with a knowing smile, to “stop and smell the roses.” Wise words from a wise woman.
